Cuba
The Caribbean island of Cuba is one of the world's last remaining socialist countries following the Marxist-Leninist ideology. Most of the means of production are owned and planned by government and most of the labor force is employed by the state.
The insufficient income forces the Cubans into black labor, as one Cuban teacher told me on the way to get some gasoline. We stopped on a little sideway in the forest, where two children appeared. In their hands, one held a funnel, the other a flexible tube, followed by their father bringing the can. "Each one of us needs to have an illegal side job, even a doctor." - he said.
