Under the tyrannical rule of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge from 1975 till 1979, about 2 million Cambodian people were murdered in a genocide. Nearly one fourth of its population at that time. The people portrayed in this series all witnessed the cruelty and lost somebody they love.
